Wed 14th November - Undergraduate Opportunities Night (Biology students who have done summer projects/SPUR, how to approach a lecturer to get experience/volunteering in their lab, applying for funding for research, etc…)
Wed 21st November – Dr. Derek Morris from TCD with his talk entitled, “GWAS, copy number variants and exome sequencing: new insights into the genetic causes of schizophrenia”.
Wed 28th November – A guy from Trouble Brewing in to talk about brewing beer.
Wed 5th December – Amsterdam Information Night.
Wed 12th December – Christmas party!!
Events For Semester 2:
Monday 21st- Saturday 26th January (Dates to be decided) – BioSoc international trip to Amsterdam
Wed 6th February – Eilish Lynch from the Irish Cancer Society to give a talk on Cancer and the research being carried out.
Wed 13th February – Sex Quiz (during SHAG Week),
Wed 20th or 27th February (date to be decided) – Operation Competition.
Wed 13th March – Whittaker Awards.
